Sam Avaiusini:

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the web.  I've been climbing and skiing in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest for about 20 years and don't plan on quitting any time soon.  When I'm not outdoors, I'm probably strapped to a desk in Bellevue crunching numbers in the mortgage business.

Lori Avaiusini:

Lori and I have been friends since the 5th grade, believe it or not.  We started dating in 1993 and finally married in 1999.  Lori is a fantastic skier and she is always a welcome addition to our adventures...unless we're out to do something really steep.  Since she's a Registered Nurse, someone has to stay home and patch me up if I have a bad day.

Justin Ashworth:

I haven't gotten much of a chance to get to know Justin, but everyone says he rips it up.  What I do know is that one day, this guy is going to take the Split-Boarding world by storm!  He's a strong guy and I welcome the chance to get out there more with him.  Maybe we'll even make a skier out of him too!

Phil Fortier:

Phil and Greg have been climbing and skiing buddies for years.  Phil is not only a great climber and skier, but he is also very talented when it comes to photography and home movie production!  Tours with Phil tend to have an "exploratory" flavor to them.  This is a great trait to have in a ski partner especially when you want to get off the beaten path.  Click on his name above and check out his website.

Bill "Air" Frans

I met Bill at the U. of W. in 1994.  Bill has a reputation for dropping some BIG lines at his hometown hill, Mt. Baker.  The trips with him tend to be the more exhilarating ones:  McKinley, NF Shuksan, Little Tahoma, numerous routes on Rainier, the list goes on.  Consider him the "secret-weapon" when you need a partner to ski the stuff where other people would say, "That's sick."

And yes, he IS sucking tapioca pudding through an ice screw.  Bill is a self proclaimed "Low Budget Ski Dirtbag."

Jason and Josh Hummel:

The "wonder twins".  These guys are practically a household name in the Cascade ski community and need little introduction.  Jason and Josh have been tele-skiing ever since they could walk and it shows!  Many of their past adventures are chronicled at the late Ben Manfredi's site: www.cascadeclassics.org.  I've come to expect that I'll be burning some serious calories when I head out with Josh and Jason.  Click on their name above and visit their new site.

Greg Mueller

I've gotten to know Greg through both Bill and Phil.  Greg is fairly active as an instructor for the BOEALPS.  Greg gets out and plays quite a bit.  Click on his name above and see what he's been up to.

Jimmy O'Donnell:

Jimmy O is a fantastic tele-skier.  I first met Jim when he was a customer of mine at The North Face.  Over New Year's that same year, we met again during a ski tour up at Crystal through mutual friends...small world.  Jimmy is a welcome addition to any tour.  He and his girlfriend just got back from a trek in Nepal this summer...makes me want to head over there too!

Joe Pearce:

Also a UW alumni, Joe was the glue of our trip to McKinley back in 1999.  Joe tore his ACL in 2001 and is now fully recovered.  He is a great friend and a PHENOMENAL skier!  Joe makes the toughest ski conditions look way too easy.  He's also been known to throw a pretty mean back-flip.

Sky Sjue:

Sky is a Physics Graduate Student at the U.W.  He has an energy that is contagious and brings a fantastic sense of humor to a trip!  This guy has done some rather impressive stuff on skis.  Click on his name above and prepare to be blown away!

Scott "Flash" Vetter:

The brother I never had.  Scott and his brother Eric have been friends of mine since high-school.  We call him "Flash" because he used to have this gold colored ski outfit that made him look very fast!  I like trips with Scott because he and I move quickly and tend to go as light as possible.  I always appreciate his level head when things get sticky.

Jeromy Waddell:

I met Jeromy through Bill a couple years ago at Mt. Baker.  It is difficult to talk about Jeromy without mentioning his incredible endurance.  He is a machine; a natural athlete!  As a result, Jeromy is usually out in front doing way more than his fair share of trail breaking and post holing.
