Mt. Rainier, Ingraham Glacier, January 18-19, 2003

Team:  Scott Vetter, Jimmy O'Donnell and Sam Avaiusini

Needless to say, we awoke Sunday morning to high winds and blowing snow.  We ended up turning around at 11,500ft (the base of the Ingraham Icefall).  Winds were blowing us to our knees every 5 steps or so.  We probably could have persevered, but none of us really felt like taking a beating for the next 6-8 hours it would have taken us to reach the summit, given the conditions.  But hey, we got lots of pretty sunset pictures!!!
